Dear member! Please read carefully the terms and conditions of membership and gym pass.
To exercise with us you need to be a member of the sports association Friskis&Svettis Älmhult. When you decide to become a member and buy a gym pass from us, or extend your existing membership and gym pass, you also choose to accept and comply with these membership terms and conditions.
You can become a member from the year of your 13th* birthday which gives you access to all our various gym facilities. If you pay for your gym pass by direct debit additional terms and conditions apply to your direct debit agreement. The membership fee is paid separately every calendar year in line with the tariff applicable at that time. Your membership is personal and is not transferable. You need to be 16 years old or over to use facilities during our unsupervised opening hours.
Your gym pass is also personal. Allowing someone else to use your membership or gym pass is not permitted and can lead to suspension.
If you lose your gym pass we will replace it for an administration fee. If your card has been stolen, we will issue you a new one on production of a police report. Any of our receptions will be happy to assist you with this!
In certain situations you can freeze your gym pass and in this way extend the validity period by up to a maximum of 12 months. If you pay for your gym pass by direct debit the withdrawals will be frozen for the period you are unable to exercise. To freeze the card any of the following criteria need to be met:
Injury/sickness
If you are injured or ill and have a valid certificate from your doctor, midwife or physiotherapist, you can extend your gym pass by the same period specified on the certificate. The certificate should have a letterhead or stamp as well as a signature and name in capital letters from the issuer. It should clearly be stated on the certificate that you are unable/have been unable to exercise and specify the start and end dates. It must also include your name and personal identity number. You can hand in the certificate at your gym.
Always have your gym pass with you at the gym. To enter or exercise in the gym you need to register yourself by holding your pass against one of the card readers at the facility.
Schedule changes occur throughout the year. During major holidays and the summer schedules, our opening hours are slightly reduced, compared to the normal autumn and spring seasons. Sometimes we also need to temporarily close facilities for maintenance and renovation. We will not replace training for these reasons. Nor is Friskis&Svettis Älmhult responsible for obstacles or restrictions to exercise opportunities due to circumstances beyond our control.
All exercising is at your own risk and under your own responsibility. This also applies to the storage of personal belongings during gym sessions.
When you exercise with us or attend our premises you are covered.
At Friskis&Svettis Älmhult we process your personal data to best provide you with the services we offer. In our role as personal data controller we ensure that the applicable legislation on protection of your personal data is always complied with when we process your personal data within our organisation. If you have any questions about personal data processing you are always welcome to email info@almhult.friskissvettis.se.
You are welcome to photograph yourself or your own exercising at our facilities. However, you may not photograph other members without their permission. Photography is entirely forbidden in the changing rooms.
Friskis&Svettis Älmhult aims to provide a welcoming, accepting and pleasant exercise environment. Inappropriate conduct such as aggressive behaviour, threats towards other members, officials and staff, theft and doping can lead to suspension. The organisation has a zero-tolerance approach to alcohol and drugs.
Doping checks are carried out at all of our gym facilities. We apply the Swedish Sports Federation’s association rules and doping policy.
Friskis&Svettis Älmhult has the right to unilaterally make changes to these membership terms and conditions. Before a change to the terms and conditions enters into force you will always be informed about the change at friskissvettis.se/almhult or by email. If a change is of significant importance to you as a member you will be informed about the change by email in good time before it begins to apply. If the change is to your disadvantage as a member you have the right to terminate your membership and gym pass with a notice period of 30 days provided you give notice no later than 30 days from the date you were informed about the change.
