1. Membership
1.1 Membership is personal and cannot be borrowed by or transferred to another person.
1.2 As a member of Friskis&Svettis Gävle (hereinafter referred to as the Association), you have access to several membership benefits. See current benefits associated with membership here.
1.3 The membership fee is paid annually per calendar year. The membership fee is paid separately in addition to the training card. Reimbursement of a paid membership fee is not made under any circumstances other than when exercising the right of cancellation according to point 3.1.
1.4 If you are under 16 years of age, your guardian must approve your becoming a member of the Association.
1.5 As a member, you are covered for accident insurance during, as well as to and from the training session. Read more about the insurance here.
1.6 The association processes your personal data in accordance with the data protection regulation and ensures that applicable legislation on the protection of your personal data is observed. Please read more here.
1.7 You are responsible for ensuring that the Association has your updated contact details if the Association wishes to contact you.
1.8 In addition to what is stated in these membership conditions, you are obliged to follow the Association's statutes and community rules. You will find the Association's statutes here and the community rules here.
1.9 Members may be excluded or suspended from training in accordance with what is stated in these membership conditions, the statutes and the community rules, for example in case of inappropriate behaviour, unauthorised lending of training cards, doping, theft, threats or violence or in the case of being under visible influence of alcohol/drugs. An exclusion means that your membership and training card cease to be valid for an indefinite period as decided unilaterally by the Association. A suspension means that you are banned from training with the Association for a fixed period that is unilaterally decided by the Association. Suspension and exclusion always take place without compensation or a refund.
2. Training and the training card
2.1 Your training card is only valid with the Association, apart from Training Card Sweden. The training card is personal and may not be lent to another person. The training card can be transferred to another person for an administrative fee. Whoever takes over the training card cannot take over the membership but must pay their own membership fee to the Association.
2.2 Lost training cards are replaced subject to an administrative fee. You are responsible for reporting the loss of your training card to the Association without delay so that the Association can prevent unauthorised use of your training card.
2.3 If you are under 16 years of age, your guardian must approve your purchase of a training card.
2.4 The current price list with a description of what type of training is included in each training card and the current fixed period can be found on the Association's website.
2.5 You always train providing there is sufficient space.
2.6 The Association's booking rules, information about age limits and other information that you as a member are responsible for informing yourself of, are shown on the Association's website. There is also information about the Association's training programmes, schedules and other information about training and the Association.
2.8 From time to time, the Association's opening hours and schedule may change because of summer or public holidays for example. The Association has the right to make changes to premises and training equipment and to close parts or the entire facility for renovation or maintenance. Furthermore, the Association can choose to make updates to its eange of training. Any reduced or missed training for you because of such changes will not be compensated for by the Association. Furthermore, the Association is not responsible for obstacles to, or limitations of your training opportunities with the Association that are due to circumstances beyond the Association's control, such as, for example, fire, interruptions in the public energy supply, official decisions, epidemics, pandemics, other major outbreaks of danger to human health or other similar circumstances.
2.9 The training card can be suspended for certain reasons specified by the Association. These can be seen on the Association's website. Read more about card suspension here.
2.10 If you pay for your training card via instalments, direct debit or the like and the payments are interrupted before the contract period expires, your training card will be blocked until payment is completed. You are always obliged to pay for the period you bought the training card for.
2.11 You are yourself responsible for ensuring that your state of health is such that you can participate in the Association's activities without risk.
2.12 The Association is not responsible for loss or damage to your or other members' or visitors' belongings. Storage of personal belongings such as clothes and valuables in the Association's premises is done at your own risk.
2.13 The Association has zero tolerance towards doping, alcohol and drugs. Doping controls occur at all the Association's training facilities. The Association applies the Swedish Sports Confederation's association rules and doping policy and cooperates with the Police in accordance with the Act on Prohibition of Doping Substances. 3. Right of cancellation
3.1 If you sign up for your membership and pay your membership fee and training card via the Association's website, you can cancel your purchase within 14 days of purchase. The cancellation period begins the day after you complete your purchase.
3.2 If you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, the Association will refund the payment we received from you without delay, with a deduction for the value of the training you participated in during the cancellation period. The association will use the same means of payment for the refund that you yourself used for the payment.
3.3 f you wish to exercise your right of cancellation, you must notify the Association of this in a clear and unambiguous manner before the cancellation period expires. Here are our contact details.
4. Other conditions
4.1 The Association has the right to make changes to these membership conditions. You will be informed of any change at least 30 days before the change takes effect on our website and/or via e-mail.
